Ingredients
Base
  • Vanilla cake or any cake you like best
  • Buttercream for filling and covering the cake.
Filling
  • Fondant in different colors
Decorations
  • White Fondant
  • Yellow and pink gel food coloring
  • Black marker
  • Assorted comic chocolate candles 15x45mm
  • Assorted chocolate dots and sticks 20-25mm
Base preparation
  1. On baking paper and using the edible marker, design the templates for the cake decoration.
  2. The first one is for the drip that falls from the base of the cake. Tint the white fondant with pink gel food coloring, roll it out to 4mm thick.
  3. Using the template, cut out the fondant.
  4. Next, color the edges of the piece with the thicker part of the edible marker.
  5. Glue it onto a cardboard base
  6. Roll out the white fondant (4mm thick) and using a cake base or the same mold where you baked the cake, cut out a circle to cover the top of the cake.
  7. Draw another template on parchment paper to guide you in cutting the fondant that simulates the drip falling down the sides of the cake. Roll out more white fondant, cut it out, and color the edges of the fondant pieces with the thicker end of the edible marker.
  8. Spread edible glue on the top of the cake
  9. Apply glue to the sides of the cake, then attach the white fondant drip. Trim. the surplus if necessary.
  10. Next, transfer the cake onto the pink drip attached to the cake base.
Filling/Covering preparation
  1. Make the cake you like best, we made a yogurt and lemon one.
Decoration
  1. Now for decorating. Position the chocolate circles and sticks along the sides of the cake. I covered the cake with buttercream, so I didn't need edible glue to attach them. If you're attaching them to fondant, you'll need to use glue.
  2. Prepare some fondant circles 1 cm high to simulate a cream peak.
  3. Using a craft knife, make an incision to insert the chocolate candle. Attach the fondant "tufts" to the cake.
